Terms & Conditions

Small Paws Patrol (SPP) and its employees will provide services in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner.  SPP will care for your pet as you would and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, SPP cannot be held liable for any loss, disappearance, injury or death to a pet, either inside or outside of the home, whilst in our care.

Pets should be up to date with worm/flea treatment and relevant vaccinations, and be microchipped.  I ask that your pets are in general good health and you must advise me of any behavioural problems/triggers your pet may have.  Clients must inform SPP if their pet has or has had any illness since making the Booking.  A pet with any infectious condition will not be accepted until cleared.

The Client agrees to authorise SPP to handle any emergencies that may arise. SPP will make every effort to contact the client. The client is entirely responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of SPP. If the registered veterinary office is not available, the client authorises SPP to take the pet to another veterinary office for treatment. The vet will contact you directly, to discuss any necessary treatment/cost. If a pet needs to be taken to the vet, an extra charge will be incurred, dependent on timing/mileage.

Clients are required to provide all necessary items such as cat litter, bedding, food, toys and treats, etc. to ensure that their pet is provided for. If any items are to be purchased by SPP, an extra charge will be incurred, dependent on timing/mileage, and the Client will reimburse SPP upon their return.

SPP requires you to have a responsible party to take care of your home in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as illness and in the event of inclement weather. It is best your emergency contact is a neighbour so they can reach your home. SPP is not responsible for home/belongings in these circumstances. Owners must give details of an emergency contact. If a pet has to be taken to the emergency contact, for whatever reason, no refunds will be given.

If clients return home early, for any reason, no reductions can be made. SPP will not be responsible for any keys the client has asked to be mailed.  SPP reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations*.

Covid 19/Virus Symptoms: Any resident or visitor to the pet’s home must be symptom free for up to two days prior to the date of the booking (see up to date government guidelines). Any necessary precautions/cleaning will need to be carried out by the client before leaving and by SPP during the booking.

  • Mileage to be charged at 30p per mile after first 5 miles of each round trip

  • A 25% deposit is required upon booking, non-refundable, for new clients

  • Please pay in full no later than one day prior to booking, unless agreed beforehand

  • Prompt payment by BACS (details on invoice)

  • Cancellations after 8.00pm on the day before visit non-refundable

  • Bank holidays – normal price x 1.5

  • Christmas Day/Boxing Day/New Year’s Day – double the normal prices
